Who doesn't love Venice? For me, this city is impressive not only for its history, but also for its enduring legends. One of these being the Bridge of Sighs.

The Bridge of Sighs crosses over the Rio de Palazzo o de Canonica, linking the prisons to the interrogation cells of the Doge's Palace. Its name is said to derive from the sighs made by prisoners brought before the judges, taking one last look at Venice as a free man, for those who would end their days in prison. However, a guide told us that this is a legend, as the bridge was only used by the Doges to move from one building to another. Who's right? It's enough to make you sigh!
